ABOUT
They say no one is really from Los Angeles. Instead, the City of Angels is the product of all the places its pilgrims have left behind, and the sum of all the ghosts who’ve come along for the ride. In a Mecca of dreams made manifest, and the dreamers who bring them to life, it is precisely this amalgamation of individual and collective histories and cultures that gives birth to the city’s unique tapestry of art and music.
It is fitting, then, that like Jim Morrison and countless others before him, Venice is the adopted home and creative backdrop for singer-songwriter Joe Con. A native of central Kentucky, Con blends soulful Southern swagger, sun-drenched, sandy ocean blues, and street savvy hip hop to create a potent brew of musical flavors. His songs range from raucous to reflective, sincere to sardonic. Acoustic and electric guitars interwoven with raw beats move seamlessly beneath waves of melodic poetry, like amplified lullabies sung by the lovechild of Leonard Cohen and Mos Def.
Citing influences as diverse as Woody Guthrie and Wu Tang Clan, the young balladeer draws as much artistic inspiration from Kerouac and Rimbaud as he does from Hendrix and Howling Wolf. Mr. Con is a 21st century troubadour in the truest sense. Painting with rich sounds and words his trials and tribulations, Joe Con welcomes his listeners into a bright, visceral world filled with the fresh promise of triumph over tragedy, all the while reinventing the blues to the beat of LA.

Fresh off his "No Small Order" US tour, singer/rapper/producer pausemc is already back with a new record. This time he has teamed up with Beluga Heights/Universal Music Group producer, Travis Margis (Nykee Heaton, Sean Kingston, Jason Derulo) to produce a 5 track EP, titled "Blue".
Put simply, pausemc is remarkable. One would be hard-pressed find many artists who rap with the style and finesse that he does and then can turn and sing the phonebook. While enduring success in their own right, one thing his past two albums haven't highlighted as much is his depth; as a multi-talented artist, as well as a writer/lyrical content. "Blue" digs deep and at times is painfully honest, pulling from personal experiences -- struggles with failure, drug addiction, broken relationships, a violent past, self hatred -- in attempt to put the pieces back together, move forward and grow.
His most recent album, No Small Order, has received an overwhelming amount of support from college radio stations around the country with heavy rotation at 96+ stations. The album has charted in the top ten of CMJ's Hip Hop Chart and ranked as high as #4 on Canada's !Earshot chart. Other notables include landing song placements in video game Saints Row IV, an assortment of TV stations (Showtime, Oxygen, ESPN, CBS), movies ("The To-Do List", "King Jack"), and countless overseas advertisements.

He carries his tall stature with the swagger of a man who’s just laid out the winning cards at a high stakes table... You’re not just listening to music, you’re having an experience in the world he’s created.
